“A Night In Tunisia”
Hi Fidelity Recording Now Available on Compact Disc!
What a year…
I've been travelling all over Canada and the States, singing my buns off and having a great time. Throw in a little downtime at the cottage and you've pretty much encapsulated the past whirlwind-of-a-year.
The big news is the new record and the fun we had making it. After sitting in on some other players great recordings I decided it was time to make one to call my own
Check out the music by clicking on the track list above, or read a little bit about the “making-of“ on the Carol McCartney's A Night In Tunisia page.
So, if I don't see you through the week, I'll see you from the bandstand :) !

Tribute to Oscar Peterson
February 14 at the Living Arts Centre
This promises to be a beautiful evening, with a slew of special guests.
Listen for our Tribute to Peggy Lee on JazzFM
No date set yet for the broadcast, but on January 21, 2008 I did a special concert with irene Atman and Kinga, celebrating the life and music of the great Peggy Lee. I loved singing her tunes - I was honoured to be able to sing "Is That All There Is" among many others.
When I was starting out playing the downstairs lounge at the Royal York, famed maitre'd Louis Janetta - another living legend - used to sneak me in to see all the headliners' last set. One of those was Peggy Lee - and I'll never forget it.
We're #1!
After debuting on the Earshot chart at #1, we were thrilled to see that for more than a few weeks we hit the #1 spot on Chart Attack's Top Ten Jazz/Blues.
Chart Attack is the most comprehensive source for alternative charts in Canada, including weekly college radio top 50 based on Canadian College radio airplay, as well as alternative retail sales and five different specialty charts (electronic, metal, hip-hop, jazz and world).
